Our Work
People Rights Foundation has been actively working on various social issues. Here are some of our key initiatives:
2016 – Drought Awareness Campaign
On the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary (14 April 2016), we conducted awareness programs on river linking project and the severe drought situation in Maharashtra. We also organized a pledge (Shapath Patra) program with local people for water conservation.
Message: “Jal hai to kal hai, Jal nahi to kuch nahi”
2021 – Anti-Superstition & Animal Sacrifice Campaign (Osmanabad)
In Manakeshwar, Bhum Taluka (Osmanabad district), animal sacrifice (chicken & goat) was being done regularly at Satwai Devi Temple in the name of blind faith.
Our Secretary, Ganesh Bhimrao Andhare, filed a complaint with the Tahsildar. As a result, the Tahsildar issued strict orders to immediately stop all animal sacrifice at the temple under the Anti-Superstition Act. This decision was welcomed by many locals and helped save many innocent animals.
Current Campaign
We are raising funds for 2 Ambulances – one for Mumbai District and one for Dharashiv Rural District to provide free emergency medical transport to poor patients, pregnant women, and accident victims.
